Kamille Floyd realized men and women seeking laser hair removal in the Murray, KY area were driving at least an hour to get treatments.  At the urging of her husband, Kamille, along with her partner, Rhonda Boone, decided to fill this gap by opening their own laser center in Murray.

“We found there was a need in the community and we decided to tackle it.  One of the first people we went to see was Rosemary Miller of the Murray SBDC.  She was delightful and so helpful,” said Kamille Floyd.

Rosemary helped the two women develop a business plan, gathered market research to supplement the plan and provided them with information on licensing.  With Rosemary’s help, the two women were able to obtain financing for their business.

Rhonda and Kamille completed training to become certified in laser hair removal.  Additionally, Rhonda brings her experience as a board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist to the practice.

Murray Laser Center, LLC, officially opened in December 2006.  A month later, the two owners invited the community and those who assisted with the opening of their business to a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Rosemary recommended we get in touch with our local chamber of commerce. We had a ribbon cutting and photographs were published in the newspaper.  This community really came to us and it was all because of Rosemary’s assistance,” Kamille said.
