Miller Slaughter has been with the Western Kentucky University SBDC since October 2011. He brings over 30 years experience in marketing and general management. Miller’s primary focus was with consumer packaged goods and branding. He was responsible for advertising, promotions, new product development, market research and financials. In addition, Miller spent six years in economic development working with the State of Kentucky and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of Management from Northwestern University. Miller has his Export and Trade Counseling Certification from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Outside of the office Miller serves as a fellow in the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute and enjoys spending time with family.
A native to Bowling Green, Nathan joined the Western Kentucky University SBDC in July 2015. After earning a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida College, he returned home to Kentucky and worked as an accountant for a large healthcare company. In 2014 Nathan, along with his wife, started a media business in Bowling Green that produced community based magazines. For the KSBDC clients of the Bowling Green area he brings years of diverse experience in accounting, financial analysis, sales, marketing, publication advertising, and banking.
When not at work, Nathan enjoys playing lead guitar with his local band, recreational activities such as basketball and ultimate Frisbee, and spending time with his wife and family.
